Welcome to Ballydrehid National School

Welcome to our school website, which I hope reflects the warm, caring learning environment which exists in Ballydrehid N.S.

Ballydrehid National School is a co-educational school situated in the parish of Bansha/Kilmoyer at the foothills of the Galtee Mountains on the N24, 5kms from Cahir and 9kms from Bansha. Our school is located on a large site with an abundance of space which gives children the freedom to explore and enjoy. We pride ourselves in utilising the beautiful local environment to enhance learning in our school.

We endeavour in all we do to promote the Catholic ethos but also welcome children of other religions/non-religion and embrace the diversity they bring to our school.  Our mission is the promotion of the full and harmonious development of the person; intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual including a living relationship with God and with other people.  Our school motto is “Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí”, Praise the young and they will prosper.

We take great pride in providing a welcoming, caring, nurturing and safe atmosphere in our school.  As Principal, I invite you to browse our website and please feel free to contact me should you require any further information.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Carmel Butler
